Doll House is a web-based augmented reality sculpture created following an art instruction, generated with the AI Solidarity Machine. In order to follow this instruction I had to imagine not only the doll house, but also the garden, because I don\u2019t own either. Doll House became my search for a place to belong. Solidarity Machine is a project by Albena Baeva in collaboration with her sister, the social scientist Gergana Baeva. It is an open online AI text generator that creates instructions for artists to follow. Solidarity Machine builds on the idea of instruction pieces as developed within the Fluxus movement, where the approach was aimed at separating an idea from its direct realisation. The generator is fine tuned on a custom dataset of historical art instructions by John Cage, George Brecht, La Monte Young, Yoko Ono, Lawrence Weiner, Bruce Nauman, Sol LeWitt, Marina Abramovic, Peter Weibel, and Miranda July. By changing the roles of artist and producer, with the machine becoming the main resource for ideas the project questions todays\u2019 power structures, calls for solidarity and creates a platform for experimentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is the co-founder of gallery Gallery, the only gallery for digital art in Bulgaria, as well the AR sculpture park Ploshtadka. Her works have been shown internationally in Europe and the USA, and recently became part of the Art Collection Telekom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
