For the #vanlife project, I snuck into the vanlife community on Instagram and immersed myself in a world of happiness and beauty. I built an RV out of an old VW van, drew a nuclear bomb on it and now I’m traveling our pre-apocalyptic world. As I struggle through dying forests, poisoned rivers and the unyielding EU borders, I post images of conflict and devastation garnished with na\u00efve and cynical comments. Ok, I admit it’s all Photoshop, but just as fake as the carefree life that travel influencers show us \ud83d\ude09 In this world we’ve screwed up, escapism is an understandable need, but a dangerous move…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
