People dressed in yellow capes were everywhere, wandering through busy streets, chasing anonymous individuals on their cell phones. This is the artwork CAPTAS, a mobile urban intervention by Fabio FON and Soraya Braz, carried out from 2009 to 2011 in the Brazilian cities of Natal (RN), Bras\u00edlia (DF), S\u00e3o Paulo (SP), and S\u00e3o Carlos (SP). In 2023, the peculiar yellow capes resurface in CAPTAS city, a virtual environment constructed from documentation of this work. The images, predominantly captured in urban spaces, at times transcend into the virtually created landscape, featuring concrete, staircases, avenues, etc., and at other times are recombined into kaleidoscopic compositions that invite visitors to take a fresh look at the memory of this artwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soraya Braz is a brazilian art-tecnology artist, curator and researcher, living and working in S\u00e3o Paulo. She is graduated in Visual Arts from University of S\u00e3o Paulo (USP) and Master of Visual Arts from S\u00e3o Paulo State University (UNESP). Her creations are visual poetry, digital art, installations and computer graphics. Took part in exhibitions such as FILE, FILE PAI, MOBILEFEST, Mostra SESC de Artes, FACTORS, Art\u00e9ria 40 anos, etc. She works in partnership with the artist Fabio FON with whom produced Roaming (2007), Grampo (2007), CAPTAS (2010), Via Invis\u00edvel (2011), Deliberator (2014), and Delet\u00e9rio (2021). She is also member of curatorial committee pavilions “Net art died but is doing well” and “VerbivocoVirtual” of The Wrong Biennale 2023\/24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
