The Wrong Biennale Pavilion

Matão

2023

The proposal arose from a quest to build a poetics next to an abandoned house in the Cerrado. When I found myself with the photographs in a file folder, I resignified the memory and what I was trying to understand in that past moment. I also abandoned this project back there. And reusing these photographs and writing a poem with the reunion with them, after eleven years, made me review time and its unfolding in the face of my understanding of these experiences in the now. The process involved reframing relations with an abandoned house in the Cerrado found in 2011. Perhaps today it will be revived in memoriam in 2023 through this production in videopoetry. The aesthetics of the video try to create a short circuit between: images, words, memory, drawings, time and poetry in the middle of all this, joining metaphors with technological experiments.

I was born in Lucélia-SP on November 19, 1987. In fact, I was only born because there was no hospital in Inúbia Paulista-SP, a citadel where I actually keep my first childhood memories. Then I moved in my teens to the city of Araçatuba-SP. At the age of 19, I went to study Visual Arts (UFMS) in the Cerrado, in the city of Campo Grande-MS. I became Master in Education and Diversity (UEMS). I am currently a Visual Arts teacher at the Municipal Education Network of Campo Grande-MS.
