Pele de Foca

A multimedia portal, an express path between ancestral and digital dimensions. In this proposal, images and sounds, remixed into a collage, retell the poem “Pele de Foca” (Seal Skin) by Eliane Potiguara. Ancestral and digital technologies, forests, and poetry intertwine in the construction of analogies for binary, digital environments. In this work, we find an intersection between polarities.
Voiceover created by amazonahightech, during research for a performance at the WOW Women of the World Festival, 2023. Poetry inspired by the short stories organized by Clarissa Pinkola Estés in Women of Run with the Wolves, Editora Rocco, 1992. Editing and assembly created with Artificial Intelligence tools from the CapCut and Alight Motion applications throughout the first half of 2024.

Encounters and textures, where environmental preservation goes hand in hand with innovation. In an exercise in metalinguistic criticism, how could a work created with Artificial Intelligence resources promote ancestral ideas and perspectives? In this dissemination of the possibilities of experimentation with the body in relation to the screen and machines. The digital collage, edited with Artificial Intelligence tools from the CapCut and Alight Motion apps, brings together digital drawings and footage of encounters with Acre, in the northern region of Brazil, journeys through the Peruvian Amazon, and Santa Marta, in Colombia.
