What would happen if an AI were trained to give precise instructions on how to perform pagan rituals? What would happen if poetry were included in those rituals? Esoter(poes)ÍA is the answer to these questions. This page proposes a fictional AI that is capable of giving instructions on rituals involving precise poetic elements that seem archaic. The intention is to recover those varieties of poems that are rarely seen today, as if ancient poetic forms were part of ancient rituals, now forgotten in many cases. In addition, the work has its own poetic element that is proposed in the instructions for the rituals, which, it should be noted, are mostly absurd and impossible. However, they also propose a challenge and an idea of taking the poetic act beyond the written word, as it is concretized in the performative.
AI Context
The artwork imitates an Artificial Intelligence that instructs the user on a ritual to perform depending on their desire. To create it, ChatGPT was asked to generate 999 ideas for rituals, which the author then complemented by writing the steps required to carry them out.
